Notice how they didn't show the other end of the ballon? It's because it wasn't filled all the way. As she was pushing down, the air was rushing to the other end. A gradual sucking would pull the air back to the front easily.

I make balloon animals, and I have a pretty good idea of how the balloons work. Fake, but a very nice effect.

Except that sword swallowers fake it too...collapsable blade tips. Hard to tell if this is truly fake, seen women take slightly narrower objects about that far (sausages and such), but that's fairly girthy.
